Right! I have managed to get some updated Atheros drivers.
As I was saying to Carl previously, the Creative driver I am using was released by Creative in June this year so shouldn't 'out of date'
A driver dated 2008 is very out of date. If you cannot get a driver dated July 13, 2009 or later, I recommend that you upgrade your sound card.

The driver isn't from 2008. I've said twice already, Creative released it as an official Windows 7 driver on 16th June 2010.

    Also, Windows Update is enabled.

In the the latest dump you posted, ctac32k.sys Wed Jul 02 03:42:27 2008 is still showing as a loaded driver. Did you update after that latest crash?

Nope. Same driver, been using it since the release date and have never gone back to another driver since.

That driver is obsolete. It is not a driver developed for Win 7. If it were, it would be dated July 13, 2009 or later.

So I'm confused, in Device Manager it is 3 months old.
In the dumps its 2 years old?

Problem is, I spent £260 on the sound card when I was doing quit a bit of sound production work.
I don't want to have to purchase a new card if I don't have to.

Not your problem though I understand, I'll see if Creative come up with any drivers over the next few weeks/months and see what to do then.

Have you tried disabling the sound card in Device Manager? If the BSODs stop, we can assume it's the card. If not, we can try for another solution.

Well when I did the initial tests before, I removed all non essential hardware including the sound card and still got blue screens.

Just had another couple of them now.

Have you enabled Driver Verifier as both Ttran and Jonathan suggested? If not, it is time to try it.

Your latest two dumps are still pointing to hardware or drivers.

Error code A - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Usually caused by Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility

Error code 50 - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA - Usually caused by Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM), Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.

    Arg2: 00000002, IRQL

bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
