I am in the process of reinstalling drivers using guru which I did use the last reinstall. However I was re-reading posts and bug reports. I noticed something interesting in bug report by jonathan king below:

    Built by: 7600.16617.amd64fre.win7_gdr.100618-1621
    Debug session time: Mon Aug 16 19:01:32.666 2010 (UTC - 4:00)
    System Uptime: 0 days 1:06:22.977
    BugCheck D1, {0, 2, 0, fffff88003e0fc3e}
    Probably caused by : USBPORT.SYS ( USBPORT!USBPORT_TxCsqRemoveIrp+7a )
    BUGCHECK_STR: 0xD1
    PROCESS_NAME: System

You'll notice the firsy line has amd64fre.win7 in it I am using an intel chip not AMD. Could this be an issue?

No, Amd64 is the 64-bit architecture that AMD and Intel processors use alike.

Had 3 more BSOD since Saturday. all yesterday. They seemed to occur on facebooks farmville. which has happened before as well as you-tube. If these minidumps point to graphics card I believe I will have to replace it. I have already used sweeper twice on card drivers and reloaded fresh copies. updated mouse and uninstalled usb ports as directed in previous posts. Thanks in advance.

Could your Logitech keyboard/mouse be the problem here? Try installing the latest drivers for it, or using a different one.

Mouse is a Microsoft Optical mouse. I downloaded new software directly from Microsoft Saturday. Don't know about keyboard it is pretty old and Generic. It uses a PS2 connection.

Try removing your current nVidia drivers with Driver Sweeper. Then install the latest version again: NVIDIA DRIVERS 258.96 WHQL

I have used the Driver sweeper twice and reloaded video drivers twice. My aero score for this card is 3.2 perhaps I should just upgrade any reccomendations for a reasonably priced one.

Ok since I last posted had 2 more BSOD. However I inadvertantly deleted 1 mini dump file. I bought a new Microsoft keyboard rated compatible with Win 7 and connected by usb. Shoirtly after rebooting computermy son tried to load fallout 3 onto it that is when the latest bsod happened. When system came back up it gave another bsod while trying to repair itself. something about a poage in a non paged area. I restarted again and here we are. I have attached latest dump file. One last question. i have uni blue reg cleaner. I have not installed it yet should I do so?

I would recommend selling UniBlue Reg Cleaner to an unsuspecting buyer on eBay, because registry cleaners are notorious for causing problems, not the least of which are BSODs.

Once again, the dump is blaming your video card. Want a reasonably priced one? Try this: Newegg.com - ZOTAC ZT-72SEG7N-HSL GeForce 7200GS 256MB (512MB TurboCache) 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

That's as cheap as you'll find, but that's what I use, and it does the job of taking the signal from the computer and sending it to my monitors. I wouldn't expect it to perform gaming well, but I don't do that anyway.

Thanks for the recommendation. WHile this would be fine for me particularly the price as I am not a gamer. My kid is . I would be willing to pay a little more for a midrange gaming graphics card. If you have an other thoughts I would appreciate that as well.

How aboot this Zotac TurboCache GeForce 9600 GT 512MB (1GB TC) GDDR3 PCIe x16 Graphics Card

    Thanks
    again
