    Hello guys,

I must say, this pc is ruining my evenings,

I had several bsod`s some from ntoskrnl.exe some from other .exe or .dll`s

I`ll attach the last dump files, I can`t figure it out. Can`t diagnose this pc

I would appreciate some help here, thanks in advance

    Hello Rich,

Changes made since last night : I changed the networking card, instead of the onboard one I installed a RTL8139d, thought that it might be the cause but it wasn`t. changed the drive from 250gb seagate barracuda es to an 80gigs with win7 installed on it on my pc before to upgrade to 250gb.

With the 250gb one installed last night I`ve done this :

uninstallled the nvidia driver, thought that could be the cause (pc frozen in counter-strike however with delayed response from ctrl-alt-del task manager)

after I uninstalled the nvidia driver I had no vga driver, the resolution was 720x480 smtn like this, every time I was logging in and made an attempt to change the resolution to 1920x1200 I was receiveing BSOD , the dump files point to that time.

With the 80gb drive, I don`t get bsod even with aero active but I receive

    Windows explorer stopped working
    Internet Explorer stopped working

haven`t copied the errors due to pc froze issue.

During the SFC scan the sistem froze permanently. restarted it.

I`ll try a sfc scan again to see what`s happening.

I`m thinking to reinstall a fresh copy of win7 but I already done that and the bsod`s, "stopped working" problems were still there.

Do you have any suggestions regarding this install ? to disable updates to not have any drivers from microsoft installed thru automatic updates or something ?

EDIt: right after I posted this I received BSOD, I attached the dump file
later edit : i`ve attached the sfcdetails file aswell.

    Regards,

    Andrei

I checked the new report. You did not do the most importnat thing.
Slnt.sys is still there and is still the cause. You must replace it with the currrent from the website.

Yeah but how to replace slnt.sys

edit: checked what slnt.sys is and it came out to be a realtek network driver file. It makes sense due to the fact that until 2 weeks ago I had a intel pro 10/100/1000 MT desktop adapter and I had no problems with it and I plugged it out to test another system, unfortunately I don`t have it handy, only the onboard realtek gigabit and the pci NIC realtek 8129d.

Based upon what you told me, we both agree that we found the cause.
    Now what to do.

I suggest that you replace slnt.sys with what you had 2 weeks ago, we know that works.

Yes, we can try to replace it with something else, but we do not know how it will work.

    Update:

I reinstalled win7, updates are off. Just installed the nvidia driver kit from microsoft...using the onboard NIC. so far no bsod. lol.

I will update win7 one by one to see where the problem is. I`ll keep you posted.

    Thank you Rich

    PS: great forum!!

I hope that the problem is solved and I think that it is. If it is not just give me the new BSOD report and we will get it fixed.
    Good Luck

unfortunately I got another bsod, I attached the dump file. it was not driver_not_less_or_equal type though, it was page_fault_in_nonpaged_area which points to hardware malfunction, technet.microsoft.com tells that it is usually from video ram, ram, l2 cache ram or things like that, corrupted ntfs volume...

I suspect the vga card, the ram memory was under memtest for 1h without errors so I eliminated this one, I`ll test the hdd`s and the vga and will be back with updates.
