    BSOD - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - Windows 7

    Hi,

I bought a brand new Dell Precision T7500. I installed two ATI Radeon 5770 cards. I installed Windows 7 on this machine and Windows has been crashing a lot. I have attached 4 minidumps. I am not sure where the problem is. Could anyone help me figure out what's the problem here? The stop error code is 0x0000000a.

When I search on the Internet for this error code, I found that this error code either relates to Hardware problem or device driver problem. I would want to know the steps I can take to exactly identify the culprit either hardware or device driver. Can anyone please guide me in the right direction?

    Thanks,
    Desi.

    Hi and Welcome to SF!
These were caused by your vfilter.sys which is part of your VPN client software. I would either uninstall it or reinstall it
    Also
    run a system file check
type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

    If you are overclocking stop

ttran. Thanks, I also did bug check analysis using Captain's guide, I have attached it on this post. It also complained about vfilter.sys.

Now that's the DLL for the VPN client which I must use. I have been using this VPN client without any issues on my other Windows 7 x64 machine. Anyway, I will run the command you suggested as well as uninstall this client to see if it helps.

Here's the output from the sfc /scannow command.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

In looking through your drivers, I also saw some really out of date driver, please update them right away
    Code:
    SiWinAcc SiWinAcc.sys Tue Nov 02 02:23:29 2004 (41868D31)
Silicon Image driver - comes with package for the SIxxxx drivers Silicon Image - Support
    Si3124r5 Si3124r5.sys Thu Sep 21 00:06:22 2006 (4511750E)
SATA SoftRAID 5 miniport driver - SoftRAID 5 - Silicon Image, Inc
System can't run stably with such old drivers. Please update them or remove them.

For the result from system file check. That means your system files are ok

    Regard,

    Tuan

Ttran, thank you for spending time analyzing the dump. BTW, I downloaded the latest driver from Sillicon Image site but when I try to install the driver, Windows says that it already has latest drivers even though it doesn't. How can I force installation of the new drivers?

    Which one above?
I believe the latest version is 2007, not 2004. When you install new driver, you should go to device manager, uninstall old driver and install the new one. Don't choose the update option of device manager, they will just always tell you that you have the latest one.
