BSOD appeared during Boot and now it wont even boot

Evening, Morning or Afternoon dependant where about you are.

Had an instance for 2 weeks now and tried everything but ran out of ideas so I really hope someone can help.

Shut down my laptop one evening, (laptop is almost 99% of time left on, only ever turned off or restart for maintenance only)

When I went to switch back on it wouldnt boot up. It got as far as past Win 7 Starting Up splash screen then BSOD appeared and then machine just shut off.

Did this each time I turned it on, BSOD was not only screen for more than asecond so couldnt view any info on there to start me off on troubleshooting.

I run dual boot Partition 1 Windows 2008 R2 and No 2 is Win 7 Ultimate.

Dual booted fine for months and no problem. Defualt OS was always 2008 as per bootmng.

Now when booting up Win 2008 it got past splash screen but never amanged to get as far as log on just hung costantly. Win 7 boot up just hung at Splash Screen or BSOD appeared.

Tried using Installation DVD Media but never got it too work, just wouldnt load into start up screens. I removed HDD from machine connected it via USB and connected to another machine. This machine wouldnt actually show HDD at all, constantly crashed explorer. I ran few tests and ran 3rd party software to fix partitions. Ran it through basic disk check and managed to get Win 7 partition to show up including files and folders in explorer. Win 2008 was no joy at all. Ran the full disk throgh Surface Scan and Full Repair utility until today, 9 days in total it took.

Put HDD in system still nothing, ran Win 7 repair disc and booted from that. Now it has finally let me in to the disk. I ran start up repair, 1st said issue with OS which it fixed, 2nd state errors on disk, this completed. 3rd I ran command promtp and checked boot manager bootrec.exe complated all 3 repairs completed successfully. Now tried no luck still wouldnt boot up.

Decided that as Win 2008 would not show in explorer as various attempts I deleted the partition, left space unformatted and unallocated and tried again.

It now booted up Win 7. Very slow and painful but looked like it worked. Ii ran disk check form within windows and it told me it had to restart. restarted and wouldnt work. I re ran Startup repair, ran bootrec again as Ii deleted other Os so just to ensure Win 7 loaded in correctly, rebuilt BCD as per instructions.

Now when I bootup I still get Dual Boot start up screen with Windows 2008 as default OS, Ignoring that!! I select Windows 7 but it now gets back to Startup Splash screen and hangs from there. Over 1 hour passed and still sat there.

I know it has nothing to do with hardware within laptop I i fresh installed same OS on another HDD and this is perfect.

Just cant understand what is wrong, Ii have missed something, was there something else I had to do that I forgot.

I cant understand why Repair tool after running checks states nothing wring but it still hangs. The only good point is BSOD does not appear after Splash Screen finished.

Anyone able to help and shed some light.

I did try and run SFC / scannow from repair tool command promtpt but it keeps telling me something liek repir started, cannot action or something like that.

Ii am just running chkdsk on it now to see what status of HDD is like, not like this will make much different.

Also how do I repair Bootmng to only show Win7 and remove all instances of Windows 2008 from it

    Many thanks in advance

I cant submit dump results as cant access OS. If this is in wrong section could mod or admin move to correct location for me.

Just bit more info on OS and system

    OS = Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Laptop age less than 6 months old and installation of both OS same time.

Is not OEm as removed OEM and also deleted and reformated OEM recovery partition.

No system restore points as up until 1 month ago was running regularly full system backups to a seperate server so no need.

Can you boot into safe mode and see if you can get the DMP from there?

I cant log into Safe Mode, if I let system load and boot up as normal it just sticks at the starting Windows screen, their is HDD activity as the LED is blinking and you can here activity but other than that nothing. It also gets to classpnp.sys and just remains there until I turn it off and start again

I did get past most of the issues before and managed to log into system but upon restart after some configuration, it now just hangs at this screen

Is it possible to do OS upgrade installation from boot thus keeping my programs and files in tact but hopefully fixing any residual defunct windows files in the process.

I know you are meant to run this through explorer from setup of the CD just wondering IF it will work this way
