I know that I have to keep the Acronis drivers up to date, but it seems suspicious that the two times that I have tried to install the latest version I get a blue screen.

Also, ttran, I cannot find anything about what program uses snman64.sys.

    Acronis uses snapman.sys.

Be sure to remove all Acronis products. If you need an alternative backup program, see these tutorials:

Search for the sman64.sys and rename to sman64.bak reboot. It wont load.

Whats the date on the current acronis exe file?

Also, if you haven't run a system file check to verify and repair system files.

To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
    SFC /SCANNOW

Let us know the results from the report at the end.

Right now I'm backing everything up on a new external drive. Once that's done (probably later tonight) I'll remove Acronis. The date on the Acronis .exe is 10/19/2009.

Also, I've searched for snman64.sys for about an hour, and the search has not found it. It's gotten to the point where the completion bar just stays near the end under the red x.

I ran SFC /SCANNOW, and it says that it didn't find any integrity violations.

Also, I've added another crash report.

    Hi there,
    Code:
    BugCheck A, {138, 2, 0, fffff8000326adec}

Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\snman462.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for snman462.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for snman462.sys
    Probably caused by : snman462.sys ( snman462+260fb )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
As you can see, the DMP blamed snman462.sys. Please go to C:\window\system32\drivers, look for that driver and rename it from .sys to .bak please. By doing that, It will not loaded next time and we can eliminate one thing.

The dump is blaming Acronis drivers. Carry on with removing Acronis completely.

I've renamed snman462.sys to snman462.bak. I also removed Acronis with Revo Uninstaller, and checked all the registry entries that it found and deleted the ones that Acronis had made. So far I haven't had any more blue screens!

Edit: I also renamed snapman.sys to snapman.bak since it is Acronis related but was still in the drivers folder.
