bsod, after long period of powered on

New BSOD error I haven't seen yet: "System_Service_Exception", came home to it this afternoon. Attached is the dump. I'm going to try to install and run this Maxtor diagnostic right now.

I swear I installed those nforce drivers yesterday, what would make them not take? This time I'll be sure to run as administrator. I'll update the wireless one right now as well.

Uh oh. Something didnt go well. See attached picture of the failed driver install.

I right clicked on the exe, selected Run As Administrator, and followed the prompts which included: "previous drivers detected, will have to remove current drivers, and restart to finish the installation". It restated, but then this came up.

It's already on "Never install drives from Windows Update". I'll try again. Also, I don't have a floppy drive, so no go on that maxtor utility.

Ok, I didn't have any problems this time. But if I go into Device Manager, the nforce drivers still say 8/2009. Additionally (I don't know if this matters) but I have a yellow triangle on the "Other devices: Mass Storage Controller".

I went into my bios just now to look around. Where I set my advanced memory/processor timings/voltages recommended by the manufacturers, I changed them to all "auto"s, see if that does anything.

I ran memory tests, i've done my best to update drivers, i reinstalled windows, not sure what else there is to do other then start unplugging stuff (video card, individual memory sticks) until I find a configuration that doesn't have a bsod in 24 hours. :/. It should be noted that my computer was running fine for almost a year since my last problem (which was memory sticks) before this happened all at once. While I understand that many people have issues with their drivers, mine were working fine for a very long time. All I've done to my computer is windows updates.

Doesn't this point to a possible hardware problem somewhere in the line?

I may go through and unplug all components, blow the dust out of the case, re-seat the components, re-goup the processor/fan; see if that does something.

Learned a lot about bsods this week, very disappointed to find out that their error messages aren't very helpful at all in pointing out the root of their problems, they might as well say "Generic Error: Something bad just happened. Update your drivers."
