So I tried to just do a full restore. The people at Sony told me that my computer didn't come with a recovery disk because the software to make one is pre-installed. So I went through the program Vaio Care and created restore disks. After putting in the disks the restore process started, and when it reached about 7% it stopped and I got 3 seperate error messages (323:41, 319, and 329) Since then I haven't been able to start windows at all. When I try to start my computer it tells me that I need to insert the recovery disks, but when I do that it just gets up to the same point and then I get the error messages. I think maybe the disk didn't burn correctly or something, and that screwed up my computer. I am still under warranty so I think I'm going to bring it in to Best Buy tomorrow and see if they can fix it. The lady I talked to at Sony said she thinks it is a hardware problem, but I think that the restore disks didn't burn correctly, and that's what screwed it up.

Another option I thought of was burning new recovery disks on my mom's computer, which also has windows 7, but is an HP. I'm not sure if that will work, but I guess it can't hurt. Anyway, please let me know what you think of this whole situation.

You might want to call Sony again, tell them the computer has reached a state of unusability, and insist they fix it for you.

I brought the computer into Best Buy today, and though it's under warranty, I had to pay $130 to get it fixed. Apparently only the hardware is under warranty, not the software, and since they did a hardware diagnostic and didn't find a problem, I had to pay. Bullshit! Anyway, just wanted to give you an update on my issue. I should get my computer back from Best Buy in a couple of days. Thanks for all of your help.

The Fix for User Profile Did Not Load Correctly

User Profile Did Not Load Correctly

"Your User Profile Was Not Loaded Correctly!"
To resolve this, go into the registry and locate:
    hkey_Local_machine\software\microsoft\windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
Inside of here there are several keys starting with (S-1-5...). Delete each key (and all subkeys) that is associated with any C:\User\xxx directory you have deleted. Reboot.

h:\PC\download\desktop refers to a location that is unavailable
.It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Check to to make sure the disk is properly inserted , or that you are connected to internet or your network and then try again. if it still can not be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.

All of my desktop and taskbar icons were gone, and my desktop seemed to revert back to Window 98. When I restarted my computer again half of my icons were back, but the desktop still looked like it was from 1998. When I went into the control panel to change the theme, it changed back to my windows 7 theme, but every time I restart the computer it reverts back to windows 98. Has anyone else had this problem/ is there a known fix for it?
so i request you that give me a solution on this as soon as possible.
    thank you.
