    Startup Repair

    Hey guys.
I'm sorry if this is a problem you've had to answer several times before but I have looked at solutions here and had no luck so far.

The screen on my laptop broke a few weeks ago and I only got a new one today. I put it in without a problem but whenever I start it, it goes straight into Startup Repair, so I'm not fully sure what I did to start this...
I've tried starting in safe mode, no joy. I tried booting from a Windows 7 CD and changed the bios to start with CDs first, but it doesn't seem to be working.

I'm not sure what exactly is causing it to start with Startup Recovery, but I do know when I ask it for a diagnosis, it says "This operating system is incompatible with Startup Repair". I started on Vista and upgraded to Windows 7.

Has anyone got any ideas on what to do?
Thanks for any help I get...

You can launch a start-up repair from the 7 install disc. Boot from the disc. Select Repair my Computer. It will look for problems, then it will come to screen where you can select to do a startup repair. If it does not fix your problem the first time, you may need to do it as many as three times, with reboots inbetween.
