    0x0000007E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

A system thread generated an exception which the error handler did not catch. There are numerous individual causes for this problem, including hardware incompatibility, a faulty device driver or system service, or some software issues. Check Event Viewer (EventVwr.msc) for additional information.

Check the event viewer for any clues about the problem.

Not too much there to go by. When Jon told you to try MSE, did you? Did you test with the windows firewall?

Yes, and I never installed a 3rd party firewall. Is it possible for older hardware to be just THAT incompatible? Yet if it was, why was the installation successful in a first place?

I did have to disconnect the 2nd HDD for the install to go through though... hmm...

Wnidows 7 does not play nice with outdated drivers and old hardware.

All that I can say, at this juncture, is that to me it looks like a net work problem.
It would be my suggestion based upon this BSOD and the work that was already done, not to ignore the obvious.

    Have your checked your
    Modem
    cables
    and router?
Can you replace the network card, they run about $20 or so?

After at least checking the above. I would use the computer and wait for another BSOD that may be more definitive or perhaps never come.

The PC in question runs a Broadcom wireless networkd card, so, it can hardly be a cable issue. I have multiple Ethernet cards, but they're all a several years old.

You took a memory test, already. Test for drivers not taken, but
Since I do not want to suggest something that will interfere with Jons plans, the best advice that I can give at this juncture is to use the computer. If you get another BSOD and Jon is not around, I will look at it; possibly with new clues.

Your nVidia GFX drivers are blamed. However, the drivers are fully updated.

Try removing the drivers completely with driver sweeper. Then reinstall the latest versions from here: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Honestly, I think you have a GFX card problem, if uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers doesn't help.

It's been stable so far, even after I re-enabled the sound card. Thank you both for your input! :)
