What log files are you referring to?

Are you still getting BSODs, could you please follow the BSOD Posting Instructions again?

Drive a: is an internal fixed NTFS HDD. Your OS drive is c:

Was this app installed to drive a: versus being installed to c:\Program Files?

The 0xc0000005 exception = memory access violation, i.e., "Access Denied". Run the genuine app at elevated administrative level - RIGHT-click, "Run as Administrator"

During your Windows 7 install, Asus ATK0100 driver mentioned. Windows 7 may have installed an older 2005-era driver -
Code:
Event[6095]:
Log Name: Application
Source: Windows Error Reporting
Date: 2010-07-12T06:57:35.000
Event ID: 1001
Description:
Fault bucket , type 0
Event Name: PnPDriverNotFound
Response: Not available
Cab Id: 0
Problem signature:
P1: x64
P2: ACPI\ATK0100
Go to Asus site and make sure all mobo drivers updated for Windows 7.

Asus Driver Downloads --> ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

Slideshow for asio.sys; scroll down and look for ATK0100 --> Asus mobo utility driver updates - Windows Live

Check \windows\system32\drivers, sort by name and see what other Asus drivers are present. Update all for Windows 7.

As for BSODs, the Event Viewer logs do not mention any BSODs at all. This could mean that the system crashed so fast that Windows did not have time to record or write a kernel dump file.

If you have any CD emulation devices such as Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120 - remove them.

Regards. . .
