    BSOD on hp dv6-2153el

    Dear All,
I've been experiencing bsod since two months up to now and I cannot figure out what is not working on my hp dv6-2153 el with windows7-64 (preinstalled). The bluescreeens appear suddenly and even with windbg I'm not able to understand what is wrong. I don't want to install all the os and the sw because It would take a lot of time.

In the same laptop I also installed Ubuntu and it works with no problems...
    Any help is really appreciated!
    Thanks and bye bye

I suspect strongly that the 5 year old storage port driver has something to do with these crashes. I would update the drivers listed below
    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

You really need to update all of the drivers that Ken has listed...

Mac os NetBios query hangs Windows 7

I've found the problem, but not the solution! ...and it's really weird!
After many many crashes I noticed that the problem arises only when in the same network there is a Mac with snow lepard running! I am now able to reproduce it with both a MacMini and an iMac on my network.

After further investigations, using tcpdump on snow, I've seen that the problem is caused by a NetBios query. The board installed in my dv6 results to be a broadcom BCM43225 Broadcom.com - BCM943225HMB - Single-Band 802.11n and Bluetooth 3.0 Half MiniCard Reference Design

Broadcom provides a reference implementation of the drivers and in my opinion people from HP just used this driver without testing it deeply.
Unfortunately, no new drivers are available both on HP nor Broadcom website.
