    a few BSoD during the last month


    several bsod since install

    i have pursued a windows 7 a month ago and installed on a brand new empty hardisk, in a new cabinet with a few fans. A new cpu cooler is added aswell.

    being a new kid in this, i forgot to get all the drivers to motherboard in , should be done now.
    But still gets bsod ! the first ones came after 1+ hour of playing Guild Wars , but lately the last ones have been while browsing , or copy files from a usb disk.

    hardware a few years old
    windows 7 x64
    p5b asus motherboard
    3.16 dualcore intel
    8800GT grafficcard

    i appriciate any help i can get ! Even though i do fear, that its something entirely simple i am unfortunatly ignorant about

    Welcome!

    Several issues I see here.

    Install the ATK0110 driver (in the Utilities section) from here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

    Remove AVG with this tool: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util...removerx64.exe

    Replace it with MSE: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

    Install these Realtek drivers: Realtek

    If the problem persists, please follow the BSOD Posting Instructions again.

    thx for the help,
    i can't install the ATK0110 driver, might be that its for vista and not windows 7,
    i get a message that says it does not support the operating system.

    No i didn't find that one since thats from P5K , and my motherboard is a P5B
    and i am a little vary about such small differences !

Hello Since i got a new computer near end of last year with new cpu, memory etc. I've been getting BSOD nearly every month and latest one was a few days ago. I've got this memory.dmp file and tried zipping it up to attach it to the forums but it's still too big to attach to the forums.
