    BSOD

I am experiencing this BSOD on a brand new install of Win7 Ultimate. I formatted and deleted the old partition so it is a clean install. Attached is the dmp file., the Windows7_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder, and the performance report.I'm running a retail Win 7 64bit installation installed last night. The motherboard is a Intel DP965LT, which was recently replaced after the old MB died (same model)

On Sun 8/22/2010 11:13:20 PM your computer crashed

This was likely caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe
    Bugcheck code: 0x3B (0xC0000005, 0xFFFFF800029504E5, 0xFFFFF8800636A860, 0x0)
    Error: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    Dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\082210-31796-01.dmp
    file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
    product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
    company: Microsoft Corporation
    description: NT Kernel & System
The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect, possibly the culprit is in another driver on your system which cannot be identified at this time.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Welcome to SF!

The only things I notice are your outdated Intel network drivers, and Creative sound drivers.

Go ahead and update both of them, and see what happens.

If the crashes persist, enable driver verifier: Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

    Hey Jonathan,

When you say outdated drivers? I just installed the drivers today from creative.com and intel.com so as far as I know these are the latest drivers. Am I looking in the wrong places?

    Also,

    PROCESS_NAME: StarCraft_2_NA
Does that mean it was related to my installation of Starcraft II?

I'll see if I can find the drivers on the sites myself in a few minutes. If you can't find any updates, it's time to investigate newer hardware.

As for the Starcraft line, all it means is that Starcraft was running at the time of the crash. If I saw you have 8 dumps, and all were when Starcraft was running, I would wonder if it was the cause.

    For now, I'd disregard that.

As for the hardware, I've had this same model motherboard now for 3 years, and I've been running Win 7 Ultimate on it since beta and never had an issue. All of a sudden yesterday I had a plethora of BSODs with a bunch of different errors to the point that I couldnt even boot up my computer so I just wiped it and did a fresh install. Since then it has crashed only twice...funny thing is the dumps only registered one crash.

I'm not sure what could be causing these sudden problems as it has been working almost perfectly. As for starcraft, I've been using it since the beta in February and I haven't had any problems with it until yesterday. The more I think of it, all my problems started when I installed McAfee Enterprise 8.7i on my system and attempted to run a scan. Then I had all these errors such as User Profile Services crashed etc. but because of that I have yet to install any AV on my system.

It hasn't crashed since last night, I'll try and play around and see if I can recreate the original BSOD

Here is an Intel driver for you:  LAN: Intel® PRO Network Connections Driver for Intel® Desktop Boards for Windows Vista*

Start with that for now, and see what happens.

EDIT: I see your posts. As the problem seems to be linked with McAfee, I would support the theory of the network adapter driver being the cause.

Also, go ahead and install the driver Driver Magician found. Mine is a bit older.
