New system BSOD

I've been having BSOD problems on my recent build. They just randomly appear, whether I'm watching a video or just navigating the web. I sometimes will get a BSOD around once a day, while sometimes I will get 1-2 within the hour.

I have updated the bios of my motherboard, the drivers for my devices and don't have much software installed since I just reformatted. Memory timings and voltages in Bios appear to be correct. Reinstalling windows was not of any help.

Ran Memtest 2-3 times, one time for 6 hours or 5-6 passes; there were no errors.

I haven't ran each of the sticks independently perhaps I should give that a try?(2x2gb)

Have been trying to single out the cause myself with bluescreenview and Windbg to no avail.

The only device that is having issues with my motherboard, is my habu mouse which I have to click the power it on before windows loads. If I do nothing the mouse will not power and I have to reconnect the mouse for windows to detect it.

I wonder if AVG is causing the problem. Please remove it with this tool: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util...removerx64.exe

Install MSE instead: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads

Update:
I decided to run on my integrated video/audio for a few days to see if there was any difference in the number of BSOD occurrences. Since I removed my new video card, the BSOD screens seem have stopped; which leads me to believe that the card may be either defective or has issues with my motherboard. Perhaps the current drivers provided by Nvidia have problems?

To verify my speculation, I plugged back the suspect video card and got a BSOD screen within 2 hours. I'm currently running another older video card I had laying around and the system seems to be running fine. I can't say for sure my problem is fixed, but I will keep it running like this for one or 2 more days to see if the problem is really gone.

It's strange considering I do not get any graphical glitches before the BSOD is about the come up, nor crash dumps appear to indicate video card driver errors. I'm certain I should have plenty of power for my rig since I have decent 520w power supply and do not have anything that really uses that much wattage. The GT240 is lower power card that does not even require external power.

The video card, processor, motherboard and memory are the the new parts of my current build. Everything else I'm currently running, had been running solid on my older AM2 system for at least 3 years.

Will post an another update later.

Thanks for posting the results. You would be surprised at how many new parts are DOA right out of the box.
