    "windows explorer has stopped working"

hello i have a litte problem here
about 2 hours ago i started getting "windows has stopped working" randomly between every 3-10 minutes. im in a similar situation to this thread:

    https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...e-crashes.html

everything time i reboot my laptop nothing changes and i still get the same "windows has stopped working" error box constantly. i am really at a loss here and would greatly appreciate some support.

i have attached a .zip of the details of the "windows explorer has stopped working" through Event Viewer.

    Hi and Welcome to SF!

Usually in this case, there are 3 possibility, either system file corrupt, virus or malware, might be hard drive
I would like you to run the following thing:
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
    as well as Disk Check

Scan the whole computer for malware:
    Malwarebytes

What 3rd party antivirus or firewall are you using? Make sure you don't let them interact or block what you are doing? If so, make an exception to particular thing you are doing at the time of crash.

That's something for you to try

    Regard,

    Tuan

thanks for the welcome and response

i am currently running SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker and scanning
whole compuer with Malwarebytes. I will do Disk Check afterwards. i will post all the results
    asap

as for 3rd party anitviruses or firewalls, i am not using any other than the standard windows firewall

    okay here are my results

    - as for the SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
it says that "Verification is 100% complete."
"Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

    - for the MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware scan the "Scan has been completed successfully"
I will attach the log as a .zip

    - doing the drive error scan now will update with results.
*FINISHED* ok finished with scan and results say
"Your Device or Disk was successfully scanned. No problems were found on
the device or disk. It is ready to use."

so yeah.... seems everythings fine.. but even up to now i still get the "windows has stopped working" boxes. just thought id list the latest error box details for some reason:

    Problem signature:

Well according to the last post you made it seems like it, uninstall DivX and see if the problem goes away, at least we can rule that out..

wow it seems DivX was the problem...... dont know why though.
but yeah i had some trouble deleting it completely as the actual file causing my errors
kept running so it always said this program is running. you must close it to cintinue.
so i actually had to delete it in safe mode.
