BSOD BCC 116 upon changing screens within game or video.
Hi guys, this is my first post ever @ SevenForums :). I've had so many great tips from reading SevenForums, but this problem seems to need a bit more help than just reading and researching..
So, I started getting this problem when I first started playing StarCraft 2.
I would get nvlddmkm.sys BSOD 0x116 when it finishes loading the game screen, jumping from lobby to a game, or just about anything when the game tries to load up a new screen. Right before it lands BSOD, it momentarily freezes the screen, and the screen blinks about 4~5 times with each time the screen coming back to normal with mouse able to move around, and then BSOD. One time it BSOD when I put Hulu video to a full-screen. Right when it goes to full-screen, it crashed just like as if when the game was loading into another screen.
These are the things I have done to try to correct the issue:
1) Running SC2 under OpenGL mode
2) Running SC2 under Windowed mode
3) Cleaning drivers both using a program and doing it manually by going through system32 and sysWOW64
4) Checking the stability of the processor and the memory x5 hrs minimum on Prime x4 cores and memtest (stable)
6) Cleaning out the computer and dusting the parts off
7) Running Furmark x1 hr (stable)
8) Repeatedly uninstalling and installing nVidia drivers
9) Setting up GPU fan @ 70% with increase upon temp detection (During game, highest temp reported <70, during Furmark <80)
And I can't seem to spot the issue. Here are a couple of things that gave me errors:
1) Running Driver Verifier on nVidia drivers - BSOD (IRQL) even before loading into Windows (read some comments on SevenForums and supposedly I don't really run Driver Verifier on graphic card drivers?)
2) BlueScreenView shows red on dxgkrnl.sys, dxgmms1.sys, ntoskrnl.exe, nvlddmkm.sys
What's going on? What should I do to fix this problem?
