    BSOD clean system, 0x00000124

    Hi

My pc was crashing about 5-6 times a day, so I made low level format, after some time (4-5h) its crashing again. I check my memory (memtest 86+, and pulling out dices and inserting 2 of 4 etc), change my HDD to brand new (when I was checking my hdd usings ESTOOL it found error in "ram verify test" my hdd was samsunf f1 320gb) and its still crashing. Before changing my HDD I was getting only hal.dll+12903 error (ofc it was 0x0124) now im getting new errors :P I'm getting bsod on win 7 32/64 bit, win xp sp3 32bit. I'm sure that i will get new bsod if need i will post them to.

Sry for my bad english and thx for help.

    My pc is:
    MSI P35 neo-f
    E8400 @ 3.0
    4x 4x GeIL Dual Ultra 1GB
    HiS Radeon 3850 iceq

    Code:
    0: kd> !errrec 85fce024
    ...
    ===============================================================================
    Section 2 : x86/x64 MCA
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Descriptor @ 85fce134
    Section @ 85fce2bc
    Offset : 664
    Length : 264
    Flags : 0x00000000
    Severity : Fatal

    Error : BUSL0_SRC_ERR_M_NOTIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 0 Bank 0)
      Status : 0xb200004000000800
That error (BUSL0_SRC_ERR_M_NOTIMEOUT_ERR) means the processor sent out a read request to L0 cache, and there was a delay in return (either a cache miss, or invalid data in cache).

The CPU is not overclocked (according to cpuinfo on the dump - it's at 3GHz), but is it perhaps overheating? Does it pass stress testing without failing? There have been other posts on this forum with the exact same issue, and fixing the cooling or replacing the PSU (or both) have resolved them. However, if the CPU really is bad, there may not be anything you can do other than replacing it - it's something you're going to want to start testing. What kind of cooling are you using on your CPU, for starters, and what temperatures does it get to after a few hours running?

I hate to sound like a broken record, but you need to start looking at hardware testing to find the bad component(s):
    Code:
