    0x0000001e BSOD New build

Need help figuring out this BSOD. Just built the sytem a day ago. System specs are in my tab. Not sure what set this off. Very random. Also had a SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION BSOD before this, 0x0000003b before the 0x0000001e error that i just got now. Currently my computer is working fine doing all the same stuff I was doing before when it crashed

    Thanks!

Sorry no DMP files in the folder. try this instead

We really need the actual DMP file.

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Start your own thread in the "Crashes and Debugging" section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
    * Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

From what I have read the fault is to do with faulty drivers, Do you have a firewall/anti-virus running or is the computer open without any protection?, I would recommend that you update all your drivers and get a anti-virus if you don't have one that is.

    Hi,

A few things to fix here:

    1. Remove Gigabyte Easytune - it has been known to cause the kinds of errors you are getting.

Use Revo to make sure you get rid of it completely - Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

    2. CoreTemp's driver is out of date - check for a newer version.

    3. The above are just (educated) guesses - turn on driver verifier to try and get the actual software cause (if any) to show itself - Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

    4. Make sure you have enough free space on the OS drive:
    Code:
    Event[567]:
      Log Name: System
      Source: Microsoft-Windows-Subsys-SMSS
      Date: 2010-08-27T16:36:24.839
      Event ID: 12
      Description:
The crash dump file could not be created due to a lack of free space on the destination drive. Increasing the amount of free space on the destination drive may help prevent this error.
    5. You have had many Windows Update Failure errors - go to the Windows Update control panel and make sure you are up to date.

Also, because of the mention of memory corruption it pays to troubleshoot the hardware side too by running a memtest.

Memtest Instructions - RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Ok thanks so much for the replies! I went ahead and uninstalled EasyTune. I checked and as far as I can tell I have the most up to date Core Temp so I'm not sure if I should just uninstall it to avoid any further problems? I just built the computer and it's showing I have 566 GB free so that shouldn't be a problem. When I first ran into these problems I immediately ran MemTest overnight for about 8 hours and didn't have one single error. And finally I went into Windows Update updated everything. I will try turning on driver verifier today and see if that finds anything.

Again thanks so much for the help. I haven't had any more problems for awhile now so I'm not sure just how random this BSOD is. I will update here if I have anymore problems.

If you get any more problems the first thing you should do is uninstall it.

Looking at that error again I think it may be referring to the size of your page file (needed to create BSOD dumps) than the actual free space on the drive. Check that your page file is set to Automatically Managed

Ok so I went a whole day yesterday with no errors. Then last night got a BSOD when i went to shutdown the computer. Didn't get the code but then again this morning I had a BSOD IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL... 0x0000000a. At that time I was streaming a movie from my computer to my xbox. I attached the minidump files from the last few days.

    Thanks

    Hi,

2 Driver Verifier enabled minidumps - one blaming gdrv.sys which is part of Gigabyte's Easytune that you have now hopefully uninstalled.

The other blamed Unknown_Module which is ...very helpful

At this point I suggest removing AVG aswell. AVG has been known to cause BSODs in the past and I do not want to take any chances here.

    AVG Removal
Download the AVG Removal Tool (ART) from here (make sure you get the appropriate version) -> save to desktop.

Boot into SAFEMODE - NO Networking. Then go to desktop, RIGHT-click on the ART icon and select Run as Administrator.

    When complete - re-boot.

Install MS Security Essentials --> http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Then reset the Windows Firewall to its default settings -
START -> type cmd.exe -> right-click -> run as administrator -> type netsh advfirewall reset press enter
Keep the verifier running and upload the minidumps as they arrive.

    Regards,
    Reventon

Ok so more and more errors... I'm so confused because they always seem to be different! Anyways I got SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION, 0x000000C1. And IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE, 0x0000004A. I uploaded the minidumps. Sorry for being such a PITA but I'm so confused.
