    "Windows explorer has stopped working"


    Hi everyone. As soon as I login to windows (7 home premium 32 bit) it tells me "windows explorer has stopped working" and the find solution online seems to do nothing but reset the desktop? Here is the error details:

    I'd suggest using shellexview, and disabling all shell extensions that are non-Microsoft. If the problem goes away after doing that, start re-enabling them a few at a time and re-testing to see if the problem returns. If disabling extensions doesn't help, we'll probably need a crash dump of explorer.exe (that won't be easy on startup, but it can be done). Hopefully shellexview will work .

    Do the hardrive test also. When i was getting this exact message a few weeks ago on my laptop...found out my hardrive was shot. Had to get a new one.
