How do I fix this error report?

    Hello all,

I have no idea what were "those files" in the report nor what was the "device or disk"

Is there a way to find out what "those files" are or what was the device or disk I was trying to copy them to?

    Thank you kindly,
    Nid

    Hello Nid, and welcome!

It looks like the C drive was the drive being tested. What were the circumstances surrounding this message?

    Hello there,

The error was from my Laptop by the way. My wife, kids and I were using this Laptop but nobody remember trying to copy anything or burning CD or DVD recently.

Yes, it was from my C drive (only have one HDD). Everything seems to working okay as far as I can tell. I was just watching movie and for the heck of it I click "Check Now" under tool tab and got this error report.

Attached is the detail from the disk error checking.

    Thank you kindly,
    Nid

Its simply saying everything appears to be OK.
If you were just checking the disk then thats good.

The rest just means that some DATA may be missing if the drive was powered down, or unplugged during a operation.

If, for example, you were copying something to the HD, and it lost power or was unplugged in the middle of the task.

Its simply warning you that the DATA, or "those" files in particular may be incomplete or unuseable, But, that the disk itself is fine.

So basically I have no way to get rid of this report?

Windows 7 knew there were some files out there need to be written to a device or a disk but it won't tell me what those files were.
