Win7 Win 10, Win 8.1

Reset bios to defaults. Then try to install. You have a slight overclock. Have you tested that your OC is 100% stable with Prime95 or Intel Burn in test? It is always advised to install an OS at stock CPU speed.

Windows 7 64-bit RC1

I've been through all this multiple times.
Please read the full thread before offering duplicate comments.
To be clear, I have reset the BIOS several times by the various methods, including removing the battery and letting it sit overnight.
None of it seemed to help Win7 boot.

Windows 7 64-bit RC1

Quick update:
I decided to try the 32bit version of Win7, and darned if it didn't boot!
So now I have apparently narrowed it down to being a 64-bit issue.
Has anyone heard of certain chipsets or processors having issues running Win7 64-bit?
I know some processors (ie. P4) are not 64-bit compatible, but my Q9450 is, plus I had Win7 64-bit running perfectly for several weeks before this fiasco started.
Any ideas?

Windows 7

I have the same problem, sort of.....

I have installed Windows 7 on an old (3 years) laptop, it was working like a charm but then it started rebooting on it's own. In a day it wouldn't boot at all. When I tried save mode, it hangs on classpnp.sys.

Now after waiting a long time (15 min.) it does boot, but it starts up in a temporary profile. My DVD drive doesn't work, and the laptop is really slow.
I tried to repair the problem with de dvd, but like I said de dvd drive doesn't work not even on boot, so that's not an option. Antother thing that I find really weird is that Windows says the laptop doesn't have any Ram. But when I look in BIOS it says that I have RAM.

It seems every time I boot the Laptop something else fails.
So it anyone has the solution to this problem, I would be really greatfull.

Windows 7 64-bit RC1

I'm sorry to hear your having trouble as well.
Mine turned out to be a faulty CPU.
I got it replaced under warranty by intel and now everything works great.
I'm hoping your issue isn't as terminal as mine!
Sorry I can't be of more help.

I had exactly the same problem, Windows 7 was running fine ( idndt had new hardware added, neither used an external USB disk) and it simply started freezing in windows boot logo, when running in safe mode if freezed when loading CLASSPNP.SYS.

I did a new fresh isntall and it installed fine, but when it boot it then freezes again!

So i went to the store where i bought the notebook to see whats was wrong, they even put a new HD and they installed the Windows 7 i had, and voilá, the problem continued existing with a new HD, so they installed a Windows 7 original and finally it all went fine :)

So the problem seams to be caused by some drivers or updates that are added to those Windows 7 AIO compilations that isnt compatible with all hardware.
Stop installing windows compilations and try to get an original Windows .iso like i did and youll have it running smoothly...
