    MS Driver

After searching for the MS driver it is a Win7 driver and should be on your install disk. Or possibly in Windows/Winsxs directory

The only thing I have in disc drives is hard drive.
No trace of a card reader.

    Card Reader

I don't see the reader in your tree. Try this go to start click devices and printers. At the top of the panel click "add a device" This will see if windows can detect it.

Packard Bell advised factory reset and if that doesn't work they will do repair.
