    Variety of BSODs

Hi, I just recently built a computer for a friend, and for the past few weeks it has been getting constant BSODs and I just can't seem to figure it out. I've tested the RAM (which passed) and the HDD (which passed as well). And the odd thing is, is that when I install a fresh OS, it works perfectly fine until I go to boot it up the next day. It will run games, applications, music, videos, etc. perfectly until the next morning when it boots up and begins opening startup programs. It will then get one of many BSODs I've experienced with it so far.

The system has gotten several different BSODs including BAD_POOL_HEADER, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM (HDD error? The hard drive passed a diagnostics test from the manufacturer), and others I can't remember because this is about the 8th time I've installed a fresh OS, so the .dmp files aren't there. But I do have a couple, which are attached along with the other files that are required by the posting instructions.

I have been using a full retail 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate OS, with system hardware just over a month old and an OS installation age of just over a day.

    System hardware:
    CPU - AMD Athalon II X3 440 AM3 Socket
    Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-770T-USB3
    Hard Drive - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB 7200 RPM
    RAM - 2GB Mushkin DDR3 1333 + 1GB Kingston DDR3 1333 (both 1.5V)
    Graphics Card - EVGA 9800GT 512MB
Power Supply - Cooler Master 500W
Case - Cooler Master Elite 310

    Welcome to SF!

Start by updating the Realtek drivers: Realtek

If that doesn't work, we can try testing hardware.

Also, where did you get the Windows 7 installation files?

Well, I updated the Realtek drivers about the time you posted your reply, but it seems that did not work. I have had about 12 more occasions of BSOD since then (which I have uploaded). A lot of them point towards ntoskrnl.exe as the culprit driver, and I know this is bad. I've tested all of the hardware except the PSU and the CPU. I, personally, think it may be the PSU not providing sufficient power to the entire system, causing some hardware to fail.

And I don't know what you mean by where I got my installation files. I installed Windows with a DVD, if that's what you are asking.

The PSU does seem sufficient, but realize that any piece of hardware can fail at any time, no matter how old it is.

What did you use to test RAM? See this tutorial: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Please enable driver verifier: Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
