Windows 7: BSOD w/ AMD 890FX Chipset

Windows 7 Professional x64

I believe that CPU is only compatible with Socket AM3; however, it won't hurt to give it a try. You will not damage either the CPU or the motherboard by giving it a shot.

Make sure your old board has the latest BIOS installed, though. That will maximize your chances of success with the newer CPU.

ASRock 890FX Deluxe5?
Hey guys, I just want to know what you guys think about this motherboard. My motherboard died recently (Tuesday) so I need a new one. I figured that since Bulldozer is coming out next month, I might as well get an AM3+ board so I can upgrade later. This one seems to me like the best...

Why do I have chipset drivers when I don't use an nvidia chipset? I have GTX 460 with 258.96 drivers. I do not have an nVidia chipset. When I went to check the Driver Sweeper files, I found all these chipset files. Why do I have them?
