    I put together my build back in June of this year and everything is A-OK at this point except that I crash while playing computer games (Dragon Age Origins and recently Alien Swarm). I played Alien Swarm recently to see if I could get it crash and it did so I followed the How to Ask for Help on BSOD problems and zipped up my report and dump files. If your response gets it fixed by Monday the 27th...expect an reward through paypal. If not I'll sheepishly walk into Microcenter.

    Hi darkmire and welcome.

    Unfortunately there are no DMP files in the uploaded folder. Did you remember to run the app as administrator?

    If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    *Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.

    Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

    Let us know if you need assistance with that

    Ok I used the program at the top of the forum to zip up the files requested. I have been having lockups with a loud buzzing sound then immediate reboots. Someone please help.

    I'd suggest enabling driver verifier as a first step.

    Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

    When your machine BSODs, run the jcgriff2 app again, and upload the new report.

    There is no dump file in your attachment
    Did you install any software/hardware recently?

    I don't understand why there aren't any dumps i even created the minidump file and told windows to dump there when it crashes. you think its a thermal issue? i can run furmark and nothing happens but full screen videos make it reboot......so stupid.

    A dump file will only be saved if you get a stop error; i.e. BSOD. Not all crashes are BSODs, though.

    If this is a driver issue, driver verifier should flag a bad one, hopefully. If not, it will likely show meaningless minidumps.

    To test if it's a thermal issue, run Speedfan: SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
