as in whats in the taskmanager?

it's almost virtually impossible to show whats running then, because it freezes randomly, not during heavy usage times, or specfic things i can point out.
    as this current time:
    avgnt.exe*32
    csrss.exe
    dwm.exe
    explorer.exe
    firefox.exe*32
    nvvsvc.exe
    plugin-container.exe*32
    taskhost.exe
    winlogon.exe
    wow.exe*32
    wuauclt.exe

Exactly, but click show processes from all users, and leave it up and running where you can see it when the next freeze happens. It wouldn't hurt to get an idea of running processes, memory load, disk usage, cpu load..for example WMP network sharing makes some computers freeze seemingly at random. So if it's freezing even when you're not doing anything, just leave it up and running til it does.. also click view>select columns and make select the columns as shown below.. then expand it so that you can see what's going on at the moment the freeze happens.

Froze again, quite a lot of processess running and can't capture a pic of it, so I guess ill write them down next occurance. Any other suggestions?ill be trying clean boot this weekend.
Also sometimes when it freezes the mouse and keyboard appear to have 'died' could it bbe their drivers causing this? They work fine once the pc is booted back up. Any help with selecting the motherboard driver to upgrade would be greatly appreciated as I'm totally unsure what one to use from gigabytes site

Meaning how good at fixing it am I? Haha not very. I mean, I can reformat, restore, reset the bios, ect. I'm not a pro but I'm not completely inept. I don't know much about registry stuff, or why my brand new pc is taking a crap on me. I'm sure I seem like quite the moron but I've tried everything I can think of and things I've read online with other people having similar issues. I'm just at a loss and trulydo not want to have to send back the entire system..

There is a program called hijack this. What it does is it tells you EVERYTHING running and that could possibly run on your machine. Maybe you could run it and sort though everything and see whats going on :)

Will do after work. So the assumption is, if its spyware that's causing my freezes then this program will help me fix it?
