i am running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit i have the same install on my laptop no errors. It is a custom pc i ordered on ebay.

I have had approx 30 BSOD's in the 24 hours i have had my new pc here are whats happening

First the BSOD was coming up as soon as i installed windows giving me a memory error.
reseated the memory ran a memtest came back no errors
Next bsod happenend when i tried to burn a disk using nero.
Replaced the sata cable for the hard drive. Helped my performance but didnt stop the bsods
Next error stated a memory or video card problem. Reinstalled windows and made sure the drivers for the video were correct and up to date. no issues until i tried to burn again. this time nero 10 came up with an error no bsod but stopped my burning uninstalled 10 and reinstalled nero 9. when the dvd was 90% converted what do you know BSOD AGAIN!!!!
This time it claimed the error was in my anti-virus/disk defrag program. I am running Avast free newest version same thing i have on my laptop with the same install of windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

I have no problems with the computer surfing or dling movied but as soon as i try to convert and burn on nero i get a bsod
