    Blue Screen when streaming video


    Hello,

    I'm new here and I don't speak engish very well so please bare with me.
    I have a Sony Vaio VGN-CR420E that I bought 2 years ago.
    I used to have Vista and I recently upgraded to Seven Ultimate.

    When I still used Vista my laptop had blue screens when streaming video. It doesn't happen all the time, sometimes I stream divX and youtube with no problem and sometimes it just crashes with no reason. I tried updating my drivers but everything is up to date.
    So I thought that maybe the problems will dissapera when upgrading to Seven but I still have the same problem. Sometimes I can stream videos with no problem and sometimes I have crashed so I'm starting to wonder why this is happening.
    p-s: I haven't yet experienced blue screens while playing video files already on my computer ( as in non streaming videos)

    I did not understand what you mean by "the latest, greatest video driver"?

    As per the instructions:

    Is Windows . . .
    - x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x86
    - the original installed OS on the system? No
    - an OEM or full retail version? Full RV
    - What is the age of system (hardware)? About 1.5 - 2 years
    - What is the age of OS installation     ? 2 days (but the problems were the same on Vista)

    You have some outdated drivers on your system. Thise in red font are very obsolete. Outdated drivers can and do cause memory corruption and crashes.

    Update these drivers starting with those in red font. Update them from the manufactures' sites rather than through Windows Update or Device Manager. If you cannot update the modem drivers and you need the modem, upgrade to a Win 7 compatible modem. If you do not use the modem, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and rename these modem from .sys to .bak. Reboot.

    Updating these drivers may solve your problems. If not, our next step will be to test your RAM. Post back and let us know. And if you need help with the drivers, let us know.

    Thank you very much guys.
    I have downloaded netw5v32.sys, Rt86win7.sys and SFEP.sys.
    I have successfully installed netw5v32 and SFEP using the provided installer. I still have a problem updating the RT86win7 because there is no installer but just a folder with the following files:
    netrtx32.cat
    netrtx32.inf
    rt86win7.sys
    RtNicprop32.DLL

    What should I do with theses files? Should I just replace the rt86win7.sys file in     C:\Windows\System32\Drivers ?

    I have renamed VSTAZL3.SYS, VSTCNXT3.SYS and VSTDPV3.SYS to .bak extension because I never use my modem.

    Good job. The renaming will definitively work. To install RT86win7. open Device Manager > expand Network adapters. Right click on the Realtek adapter and select Properties. Click on the Driver tab and click the Update Driver button. Select Browse my computer for driver software then give the path to where these files are stored.

I do appologize to the admins if this is on the wrong spot. I have been having issues with blue screening while playing video clips I have downloaded. This happens mostly when attempting to make them full screen, but has also happened when just opening them. Do you guys have any ideas?
My problem right now is that that I blue screen randomly while doing minimal things, and when that happens the USB's don't work after the automatic restart unless they are removed and re-plugged. I only had Chrome (Full screen movie), Skype (3-way call), and RaidCall (minimized) running, yet it...
