usasma,

I was quoting from Memtest86+ version 4.10. I had downloaded 3.4, but it wants to burn to a floppy. i don't have one. I have a USB floppy and rawrite says it can't determine the number of sectors and refuses to create the floppy there. Is there a way to put 3.4 on a CD or Jump drive?

If not, I still don't know how to test all 8GB. The motherboard, was RMAd for a brand new one, just in case it was the problem. The power supply was changed to a newer better one also.

Layback Bear,

I didn't see anywhere to fill in my specs, but here they are:
  • Asus P6X58D Premium
  • 4 x Corsair DD3 2GB XMS3
  • Intel i7 920, LGA 1366
  • Cooler Master case
  • DVD
  • Western Digital WD500AAKS (I was going to trade this out in case it was the problem)
  • ATI Radeon HD4670
  • Windows 7 64bit Pro
  • Standard USB keyboard and optical mouse

Layback Bear,

I was looking to the bottom left of the page...I did find the place you were referring to and filled in my specs.

I just reseated all 4 RAM sticks and restarted memtester+ 4.10 to see if the errors return. The last time it happened within 2 hours.

So far, after reseating and testing for 2hours and 53 minutes, I haven't seen any errors. The only thing that troubles me is that although the program shows that I am using 4 slots, it won't recognize over 4GB so I don't guess it is all being tested. Anyone have a 8GB RAM tester that I can run from CD or jump drive?

After 4 hours and 20 minutes, no errors appeared. Again I'd like to test all 8GB. Is there anything to help me do that?

I just did a Western Digital extended disk test and found nothing wrong. I could test 4 and remove test the other 4 but that won't tell me about if there is a slot problem. I will go ahead and swap them and run the test overnight, though
