OK I switched the top two memory modules with the bottom two and started Memtest86+ 4.10
After 15.5 hours it had the following

You can try playing with QPI voltage.
I have the same problem as you, however... Sometimes I can get 5 hrs no errors and sometimes errores within the 1st seconds of memtest86+...
Wouldnt you think its the Memory Controller inside the i7?

Well, believe it or not, Corsair tells me I have the wrong memory for the mobo.
When I ordered it I clicked on the i7920 and Asus mobo combo on TigerDirect and clicked the "recommended ram" on the side. I got curious after all of this trouble and downloaded recommended Qualified Vendor Lists (memory) from Asus for my mobo. Then I went Corsair and looked up the memory I had for the Mobo and it was not on the list. So I called them and found out that my DDR is dual channel and the mobo should have Tri-Channel. So the RAM is wrong! Also they told me that I shouldn't put in 4 modules but either 3 or 6 (Asus manual shows 4 as an option, though).
So I am probably going to get the Tri Channel RAM and see if that clears up all of my issues like Corsair claims it will.
Aleman, maybe you have the same issue. Have you checked to see if you have the right RAM?
I feel stupid after all of this, but I was trusting them in their recommendation on the site--that they'd done the research and new which memory went with which board. I won't make this mistake again
From my research, the only RAM that your board can take is DDR3:

DDR2 RAM shouldn't fit in DDR3 slots - so the system shouldn't recognize any of the RAM.
What's the model number of your RAM?
If Tiger Direct messed you up, then I'd have them fix things (accept the return of the old RAM and send you new RAM).
I have DDR3, but it is apparently dual channel and I was told I need tri channel, but it does fit and has worked for one of the 5 machines. that is what I plan to do with TigerDirect if they will.
I'm starting to learn a bit more about this.
The QVL states (basically) that you can use Dual-Channel in slots A1 and B1 only
Any other combination requires Tri-Channel (and the setup is confusing to me).

Well, it is confusing to me. The first Corsair support guy told me I needed Triple channel and had the wrong memory and that it only supported either 3 banks or 6, so I could do 6GB or 12GB, but the Asus mobo book seemed to show 4 modules, two in the first two banks and one in each of the blue banks to make 8GB. I have had nothing but trouble from this. One of my machines has about a new everything now
Others randomly crash and such, so I am hopeful that exchanging the RAM for the correct TRI channel will solve the problem. I will definitely try to remember to post back the results when I know for sure. It would have been a great system if only I could get it working
