BSOD - Unsure of cause Made Several attemps to recover

    Windows 7 Ultimate x64
    HP dv5-1235dx (laptop)
Original OS Vista - upgraded to 7 several months ago and had no problems

Unsure what caused this issue. I first noticed the issue a few weeks ago. I have ran virus scans, Registry cleaners and I have done a system restore. None of these have worked. At times the computer runs fine but once the BSOD comes a restart does not help. Running is safe mode does help but BSOD will appear in safe mode as well.

    attached are the requested logs

    Hi,

If the issue occurs in Safe Mode too then it is probably a hardware fault.

Return the laptop under warranty if possible.

If not - the common theme here is hard-drive related drivers/bugchecks.

    So run these HDD tests:
    First run chkdsk

    START -> type cmd.exe -> Right-click -> run as admin -> type chkdsk /r /f -> Press Y at prompt -> restart computer.

Also to check the drive's physical state run SeaTools

Download SeaTools for DOS from here: SeaTools | Seagate

Follow the instructions to run it. After it has detected the drive, select Basic Tests, then Long Test and let it run.
    Regards,
    Reventon

Ok, So I ran the above checks and it passed. There were some fixes in the CheckDisk and the Sea Tool passed both the basic and long test. I was running fine after that for a few days. Then back to the BSOD. I have cleaned the computer, updated drivers. Not sure what to do next. Any advice?

    Hi,

I am pretty sure this is a hardware fault and you will have to replace parts - but lets just see if we can track it to a specific part first.

    Run these tests

https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...t-prime95.html (run the Blend test as well as the Small FFT test)

    RAM - Test with Memtest86+
