"User profile cannot be loaded." I want my profile back!!!
I've got my user profiles stored on my data drive (C: OS drive/D: Data drive) running Win 7 Ultimate. This morning, I booted up my computer and Windows couldn't find the D: drive due to a simple drive mounting issue. I resolved that issue and the D: drive is now permanently mounted. My problem is, now, every time I try and log into my profile, I get logged into the temp profile even though D:/my user profile location is available.
I've reviewed http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/13...ot-loaded.html and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215/en-us. Both of those articles say to delete the profile and then re-create it. Why does it have to be such a PITA? My profile directory is over 200GB and will take forever to copy back-and-forth. I'd love to be able to just force my profile to login to the proper directory instead of the temp directory and skip all the 'delete/re-create/copy files' business.
This is Windows 7...things should be easier.
Thanks in advance for any help!
