There are no new dump files, I checked. Only 3, which are the same exact ones.

Why did the computer lockup? :s

    It booted up normally.
    Entered windows.

    I went to the washroom.

Came back, and it just froze after booting into windows.
Mouse won't respond, no keystroke response.

That maybe caused by the video card/driver. I went through that with my video card before I got the right driver.

Currently, I installed the latest driver from the nvidia website.

At the moment, the computer is acting worst.

I can't even boot to windows. It freezes at the point where the coloured dots are supposed to become the windows logo.

After a few minutes at this state, the computer screen turns black, and the CPU gives out multiple beeping non stop.

I have run memtest86 overnight with no issues.

Now, I tried to restart the computer and it freezes again.

After that, I rebooted and it refuses to show post.
    Fans etc all spinning

I got it to enter bios, but I tried to save settings and it just hung.
    Should I reflash bios?

Update 1: I reflashed to an earlier rom, version 2002.
Now i managed to repair windows, it is repairing at the moment.
I have entered windows, waiting for it to load.
    Load seems successful
Checking if there are new dump files available
There are no new dump files apart from the 3 we have already analysed and tackled.
I have however, added in a fresh zip file and perfmon report if it is of any use.

Could be bios, could be ram, could be the video card. Flashing bios (with the latest) would be good, but what if it freezes during the process?

    1. Remove the videocard and try to boot without it. I reckon I also had random restarts before and after entering windows when my old GF6600 bit the dust a couple years ago.

    2. Isolate and test the ram sticks separately and in different slots. I know it's a PITA doing that, but you need to be sure it's not the RAM.

I flashed the bios with 1 version earlier. It was on the latest.

I will try the RAM tomorrow.

As for the video card, I did the video card stress test and let it run, no observed artifacts at all.
I don't have built in GFX though.

Also, now I managed to enter windows after a bio flash to 1 version earlier.
I also did a windows startup repair ( windows requested this )

Can there be a problem with the registry?
And if so, is there any way I can deal with it?

You should know better if there's a problem with the registry, if you actually did something to get it messed up.

    Run memtest overnight.
