Well, regardless, i made a restore point, and enabled verifier. time to restart..
Hopefully if it does start BSOD'ing, i'll be able to log into safe mode without too much problem. I'm curious though, how do i know what driver it is? does it make a log? or am i hoping the crash dump says it?

Kay.. So like, i enabled it. Win loads up normally, but after a few seconds just crashes, and restarts. No BSOD or anything. I'm in safe mode with networking now. :/

Edit:
Seems like the thread i made in the Hardware section was deleted / Is missing.. Even though I remember making one, and even looking at other threads in that section.

If the computer crashes at boot up with Driver Verifier enabled it, turn it off. That generally indicates a hardware issue. Driver Verifier will cause BSOD's when it encounters a faulty driver. The resulting dump file hopefully identifies the offending driver.

That is more evidence of a hardware problem. Do you have access to another power supply you can try?

Another power supply? I've got it hooked up to a surge protector at the moment, but if you want me to plug it into another socket on the wall somewhere, then sure?

No. I mean the power supply unit for your computer. Or is yours a laptop?

Crashes at start up are sometimes caused by a failing or bad PSU (power supply unit); that is why I asked the question. I know of no way to test them for a home user short of substituting a known good power supply.

Ah, gotcha.. Well, that's never happened before till the whole driver verifier. So i unno. It would start up, get to basically showing my desktop, then just suddenly crash.
