Dj Shark - BSOD

Alright, so i just changed the battery. Came back with a "Floppy Disk(s) Fail (40). CMOS Checksum error - Defaults loaded. Warning! CPU has been changed, etc etc etc." I went into BIOS and set everything all over again. For now, let's just assume it's fine.

But now, there's another issue; BSOD. I've got this for over 3 weeks now (not all the time but enough to make me kick my CPU for a second). BSOD error attached. Sorry for the quality as i took it with my cell phone. Any idea what could be done to get rid of this BSOD?

Seems like vtgkmodedx32.sys part of S3 graphics driver is causing it

Graphic driver? I did a little check on google and it says something about VIA. But i'm on nVidia graphics though. :s

I just went through the information and i don't really feel comfortable releasing them where anyone could view them.

Anyways, i went to the S3 site you posted earlier. I wasn't sure which ones to download so i went for the option where it scans and find the S3 product on my PC (S3 Graphics - Drivers). The results, attached.

I did once try to uninstall the s3Funkey.exe (posted 2 weeks back here ). It was gone but it came back on the next reboot.

s3funkey might be causing the BSOD

Not enough info in your system specs, but does the motherboard have onboard video? If so with the reset of the bios you will probably find that it has been set to the default of enabled. Just in case you missed when when re-entering your settings, double check that it is set to disabled.

Yes, i do have on-board graphics. It's VIA. I hope i got it right but i changed the 'VGA Share Memory Size' from 64M to Disable. Is that right? Or it's another option?

Also, since a few weeks back (since i had a bunch of issues, etc), everytime i logon, i'll get these (attached) for just a second. Never happened before. Only started when my HDD crashed, updated was installing and in the midst of it, i received a BSOD and a bunch more issues.

Have a look again, all that one does is set the amount of shared memory to zero. There probably is another somewhere for disabling the onboard video, if it doesn't get disabled automatically when a video card is detected. I guessing it doesn't disable auto seeing as it is still being detected by Windows.

Also open Programs and Features and if present uninstall anything to do with S3/Via graphics. It may not be there as I have a feeling with the bios reset and subsequent re-enabling of the onboard video, the driver got installed automatically through Windows Update; so have a look in the update history and see if it is there as well.

I'm on the laptop now so it's easier for me to tell you what i see and which to turn off.

Here are basically what i guess has to do with the onboard graphic. Please tell me which is the right one as i'm not too familiar with this.
