    Freezing with Colored Vertical lines

Hey all, tricky issue here, i just got a new build and when playing games my computer will randomly freeze and also begin displaying solid colored screens with vertical lines on it.. i can still hear audio sometimes, but i happens ranging from minutes after the game loads to hours after the game loads.

i thought it was an issue with my card overheating, but i hear and feel the fan on the card spinning, then i thought it was the processor and i remember on my last pc i had to ... clock... it or something like that in the bios at one point because it didnt automatically do it for me when i built.. forgot the term it was a friend helped me... any help would be great, ive updated drivers.. not sure what to do next..

    processor - i7 860 @ 2.8 GHz
    card - 2x HD 5770 Radeon
    mobo - evga p55 ftw
HD - not sure ( its older, worked fine before, maybe a memory issue, displacing new memory or whatnot..)
    Ram - 6 GB DDR3

thanks again :) keeps requiring hard reset when this happens, no alt4 or anything like that

Download Speedfan and monitor your temps. Make sure neither your graphics card not your processor are overheating. It sounds like a graphics card issue. Do you have another graphics card you can try?
