    BSOD issues - Windows 7 32Bit


    Hey guys,

    Been having some BSOD issues over the last three or so weeks, really ramping up over the last week. Has been coupled with numerous Explorer crashes and some major slow downs in performance too (slow down is a bit hit and miss - sometimes won't notice it at all, other times it renders the comp almost unusable, 30secs+ to alt-tab to a new window, etc). I've scanned for malware/spyware and virii but to no avail (which is probably a good thing!).

    If it's relevant, I usually have a lot of word documents, pdfs and webpages open at one time. BSOD seems to occur at random.

    Using Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
    It's the original install, came pre-installed on my HP dv6 notebook
    Purchased the notebook a little more than 5 months ago.

    No new hardware installed. Some new software about a month ago.

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    These were caused by your vfilter.sys which is part of your VPN client software. Either uninstall it, reinstall it or update it

    This was likely caused by the following module: vfilter.sys

    Cheers mate, that was one of the suite of programs I installed shortly before the issue came up, but I've avoided uninstalling it due to work requirements. It's gone now tho,will re-install in due course.

    In addition to yowanvista's spot on advice, you have a number of out of date drivers on your system. Out of date drivers, can and do cause memory corruption and BSOD's. These drivers will bite you, especially the old XP drivers. Update these drivers beginning with the oldest.

Still can't get my Windows 7 32bit system to operate w/ Nikon Coolscan 4000 ed. I tried advice from other postings by downloading/installing Vista 32 bit driver plus a scanner.info file. I first downloaded to a flash drive and then tried installing them using the wizard. Both are on my desktop,...
i have installed dual boot with my pc XP 32bit and 7 Ult 32bit and a PCIE ait radeon x1600 with 512Mb memory.. problem is when i boot with 7 my video graphic card in "dxdiag" registers about 1200+ of memory while when i boot with windows xp with drivers loaded it only stays with 512Mb of memory....
Ok. So a while back I installed windows 7 ultimate I thought it was x64 but it was x32, on my toshiba a-300 o5m laptop and had no issues except for the fact I`m almost loosing 2 gb`s worth or ram...So now im tryig to reformat my laptop and install 64 bit. But, when I got to my boot menu on start up...
