Still a problem with

Probably caused by : atikmdag.sys ( atikmdag+3b965b )
This may also be cause by overclocking your video card. Is your card OC'd?

Hmm not that I know of. At least I haven't overclocked it. This install of 7 is pretty recent.

Any other ideas on what could be causing it? I hope my card isn't going bad. I can play other games perfectly fine with out BOSD

Vista 32 HP

Same Problem

Well, I don't have Win7. I'm running Vista 32 HP and have the problem.

Here's what I've posted in other forums.

I'm having the same problem with my laptop.

My specs:
Acer Aspire 5100-3949. Bought March 2007
Windows Vista SP2 Home Premium
AMD Turion 64 Mobile MK-36(single core)
2.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 332MHz (5-5-5-15)
ATI Radeon Xpress X1100. 256mb shared
Running the latest drivers for that hardware which are Catalyst 10.2

I installed 10.2 drivers in February when they were released and didn't have any problems until last month in September when all off a sudden this problem came back. I've had it in previous installs as well. I last installed Vista in December 2009 and everything has been fine until last month.

I get the atikmdag.sys error and then it recovers and i could keep going.

It's very easy to recreate the error too.
Going on the iPod Touch page on Apple.com
Doing a Google images search
Watching fullscreen on youtube.
Earlier today i happened when trying to watch a HTML5 video.
Also happened earlier today on Twitter.com(the new twitter interface)

I've tried everything that I've found through google searches.

Every time I reinstall I use DriverSweeper in SafeMode after uninstalling

I've reinstalled 10.2

I've reinstalled 10.2 Drivers only. Not installing the Catalyst Software.

I've tried different versions of the drivers going as far back as drivers from 2007.

I've gone into System Configuration, selected all cores(1) and all of the RAM.

I've uninstalled the KB update in Windows Update.

I've installed drivers by going through Device Manager.

In January 2009 I upgraded from 1GB of Ram to 2GB. I bought 2 new 1GB sticks. I've had the problem with both sets of RAM.

I've tried everything that I've read in forums all over the net and nothing has worked.

I don't know what to do next. This problem is getting really annoying.

Well... if you can get borrow a video card, swap it as a test. At least we will know once and for all it's the card (which it should be based on atikmdag.sys).

Do you trust game reviews / worst game installed but got good review
Do you listen and trust game reviews or judge them for your self. Would you still buy a game if it only got fair review but the price was cheap enough. What game did you install and was deeply disappointed even when the game got a good review
