Weird Problems with Windows 7 Ultimate 64

Honestly I think system mechanic is to blame.

However restoring the registry may be less of an option than a clean install.

The Ownership and Permissions are incorrect on most of the Windows Drive but not much is affected by it.

Using manage from my computer's menu drop list reports no file associated, same with using the exe in system32, however the MMC works fine.

There are some problems with registry finding stuff in the syswow64 folder, even if redirected manually to the files.

    SFC has not helped

Windows Search returns error cannot start. Error logs have different event IDs but this code seems constant error -2147287035

subacls cannot be installed error -2147287035

Windows Update Preparation tool get stuck intalling hot fix. Normal windows update is fine.

    C++2005 distributable will not install

Desktop programs often start with their display missing. However they show in the preview from the taskbar and right click + maximize, then drag them seems to fix the problem. The original problem was caused by Beta Nividia Drivers.

File association problems are constantly being detected in registry scans, however I have undone all repair operations done to the registry.

Microsoft Security Essentials tries to locate files on an my 6th disk, and asks for a disk. It will not install. One Click Fix, Solution accellerators, and subacls has done the same. No other programs do.

Run as Administrator comes dissapears but I seemed to have fixed that.

Live One Care scanner ran once, found and repaired problems, however will not run again.

    -----

This problem began after installing ASUS AI Suite and after trying to troubleshoot the loss of ASUS Express Gate. AI Direct Link also seems to have something to do with making a user profile with .shareai at the end

Some windows services problems have arrised as well. I need to be able to customize the services and change profiles easily between entertainment and recording (digital audio workstation) settings.

If I reinstall windows 7 ultimate 64bit clean I would appreciate some links to installing it as a system builder from the Retail disk. Customizing it (by including drivers, software, and WinRE customized)

If anyone can help (even if it's an annoying set of steps) I would much rather be able to get some of it fixed while I am working on recording a song. At least until that is done.

Sorry for the tall order. Thankyou in advance for any help offered.

use universal extractor to extract driver files from the installer to a folder on your desktop.. and copy any other driver folders from working drivers that you have installed already and add it to the folder on your desktop
use poweriso to make an image of your windows install dvd
poweriso isn't free but IMO the easiest to use of all the iso imaging utilities I've tried and works in xp, vista and 7, both 32 and 64bit editions
mount the image and open it in poweriso, then add the driver folder and create a custom image
burn a new dvd or use one of these tutorials to create a bootable flash drive from the custom image
USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create
Install Windows 7 from USB Pen Drive Using Grub4Dos
Reinstall windows and manually add all drivers prior to the install using the install drivers option in the windows installer.. if I knew how to write a script to make the installer add custom drivers automatically I would do that instead..
keep the retail license so you can use it on any major system upgrade
