Windows 7 takes forever to shut down.

    Hi guys,
I need help i have windows 7 ultimate. There are two problems with it.

    1. When i open media player to play files it plays, but when i try to close it doesnt gets closed. I always have to use taskmanager for closing. I Close it from there but still there is a task running "wmplayer" and when i click on end tasks it also doesnt gets closed.

    2. When i shut down sometimes it asks "FORCE SHUTDOWN", and sometime it simply shuts down but taking forever... never gets shutdown...i have to put my UPS off every time i shut down

Please it will be very kind of you if u help me thanks

    i have 3GB RAM, Core2duo Processor and 2.9 Ghz.

Troubleshoot repeat shutdown hangs in the Performance log at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools\Advanced Tools. Google repeat errors text and ID#.

Look for cued issues on Tools page, Generate a System Health Report.
