    Hi Carl,

Just an update for you. Been running all day now no BSOD yet. (fingers crossed)

Just had a good multiplayer of LFD2 for a few hours, and no crashes.....hopefully things have settled down.

Thank you for all your help and assistance, and in the absence of any more BSOD's - i'll leave you alone to help others.

That is great news! I am glad you are running smoothly. Post back in two or three days. If you are still BSOD free, we will ask the moderators to mark the thread as solved - my favorite marking! .

    Hi,

Looks like i spoke too soon.

This morning, within 10 mins of switching the PC on, BAM BSOD, reboot, then another one instantly.

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Im going to cry now. I guess its time to RMA the kit? Given the number of problems that seem to relate to memory issues?

    Thanks

    One last one

Removed Norton 360 completely and rebooted and got a

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

Rebooted and windows explorer started saying cannot access memory or something, before it gave another BSOD same as above.

    Switched the thing off now.

Well, Alex, the time has come; but not to RMA the kit. One of the two dumps directly blames SRTSP64.SYS, a Norton/Symantec driver, for the crash. Uninstall Norton using this uninstall tool: Tool. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on.

The second dump blames a Windows system driver and is very unlikely to be the cause. Let's see what your system does after removing Norton.

Looks like we were seconds apart with our posts

I removed norton, and thought right im going to prime 95 this thing.

Sat there running prime 95, ran fior a short while, fingers were crossed, was thinking positlively, yes, go on, come on, yes, go go go!

Moved the mouse and it BSOD's :-(

When it re-booted it said something about explorer not being able to access memory and then BSOD's again.

Didnt bother turning it back on after that point

Phooey. Im dreaming of the word BSOD at the moment......

At least im still smiling ;-)

That has to be disappointing and frustrating. It is to me and it's not my computer!

Your last dump blamed memory corruption. I guess it is time to RMA the kit. If you know a good tech, it might be worth the money to have him check your system. However, I still see one outdated driver loaded on your system. See if you can update it. If not, you might want to consider upgrading your wireless adapter.

    Hi Carl,

Thanks for all the help trying to solve this problem. Im almost 100% sure its a hardware issue now, I have never seen so many different BSOD's on a system in all my years building PC's

I RMA'd back to Scan computers this morning and dropped it off, and put a letter in detailing all the issues and what i had done to try to correct the issue, they came back today after having the bundle for 4 hours as no "no fault found" - Said it passess Memtest and Prime95. They had not even read my issues properly.

Im very dissapointed in them that they never even bothered to read all the troubleshooting we had done piror to me resoting to RMA. But i guess thats a battle for tomorrow and not one for here.

Thanks again for all your help, its been much appreciated

    Take Care.

I am sorry their response was not better. Try updating that wireless adapter driver. They can definitely cause crashes.

    Hi Carl,

looks like i can give you a positive update on my issues. Scan swapped out the RAM, and have been running prime 95 for two days now without a BSOD.

Looks like all the memory corruption BSOD's were caused by faulty RAM.

Just saying thank you for all the time you put in looking at the .dmp files.

Looks like this case is closed

    Ta!
