The fact that I didn't get an error before is probably because I haven't turned on round off checking untill now. What are your thoughts on this being either still ram related, cpu or psu related or anything else instead of the board? I'm sorry for asking and talking so much...
I guess until I get to use a new/fixed motherboard, there's nothing left to discuss here eh. Is there a world record for RMA's by the way?
LOL! Probably not a world record; but certainly way over average. The only other thing I can think of besides RAM and the motherboard is the power supply. A faulty powers supply can do weird things. Let us know about the motherboard.

Memtest still shows coldboot errors, again at 5080,0MB test #6. Just like when I first plugged them in. So this is not a reseating issue, for sure. Even tried 1066Mhz, QPI/VTT voltage on auto, RAM voltage on 1.64, 7-7-7-20 timings as rated for 1333Mhz. Got a nice BSOD on windows login system_service_exception. Upon autorestart, the system would hang at "AHCI bios installed". So I reset it, at that point the screen would stay black and I could hear it hang in an endless reboot. Turned off the power, restarted, some message about overclocking settings etc.
I don't really know where and when this will end. The PSU is supposed to be OK, I've tried two PSU's already. The current PSU is a quality one. Reading about this motherboard from people that have cold boot issues with OCZ memory and everything, I'm not sure what to do. This might go on and on and on up until I just buy memory from lets say Kingston. I can't get a refund anymore I suppose. So I'm pretty much stuck with OCZ and Gigabyte combination. It is on the QVL memory list, but still. Plus I lost my faith in RMA departments and perhaps some brands as a whole. Perhaps when I RMA either of the two to the webshop and ask for an alternative product, things will get sorted quicker than just sticking with OCZ and Gigabyte.
Sorry to add another story, but maybe it contains anything useful to further narrow down the cause.
Please let us know what you decide to do. I am afraid the hardware issues are out of my realm of proficiency. I am no expert on RAM and motherboards. I will ask the hardware Gurus to look at this thread. Maybe one of them can offer a solution. This does not mean I have given up; it means I am calling for reinforcements. Give the hardware guys a while to respond; I do not see any of them online at the moment.

What is the make/model of your PSU? I doubt it's the problem, but you never know.
Try blowing out the motherboard slot with some compressed air. What type of material was in the slot?
If blowing out the slot doesn't help, I would recommend that your RMA your motherboard.

I didn't have freezes before, however, do not forget I also still have memtest errors upon coldboot. Which is, as said by Carl, significant. It makes indeed more sense to link the freezes to the memory instead of PSU in this case.
The motherboard slots are clean, I am absolutely positive of that. When I first plugged the ram in, I checked it again. Then it gave memtest errors (first boot, cold). And while reseating I checked the slots again. Check, check, double check, tripple check. I guess I could check the slots again when I get home. But one has to draw a line somewhere eh.
I'm not sure what type of material was in the slots, something black (perhaps a fiber) 2-3mm at most.
The motherboard will probably end up in an RMA anyway. But I'm not sure if that will fix my memory issues. There's so much weirdness going on on the net with Gigabyte and OCZ, perhaps X58 in general being picky. Even with memory from being on a QVL.

Just a quick note, will read through your thread, most cold boot issues end up RMA'ing the RAM.
You can check your RAM forum, you will see a QPI/Vtt bump and if that doesn't fix it they (OZC support) always say RMA.
Memtest86+ will find RAM problems most of the time but, it isn't 100% that you don't have a RAM issue.
Testing usually proceeds from memtest86+ to Prime95 (or similar), they can sometimes pass and you will still get BSODs, most of the time they will catch the problem.
Your mobo driver site, Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0), Check if any are newer than what you have, install the Intel SATA RAID Drive 9.6.0.1014 if you don't have it already.
Just finished reading the thread, looks to me like a RAM issue, again, sorry to have to say that after what you have been through.
If you can, try to get a refund from OCZ, they are usually pretty good about that.
Try another brand of RAM, be sure it's on the QVL memory list.
I've seen many problems similar to yours and sometimes a certain brand of RAM just doesn't want to work on a specific motherboard.
Try Corsair or Kingston.

Check, I have 9.6.0.1014 installed. Chipset, USB 3.0 and LAN drivers are also up to date.
Couldn't find any trace of GIGABYTE SATA2 Driver 1.17.59.0 on my system, but if I remember correctly, Intel support told me that their Rapid Storage Technology driver (the one in your quote) is all I needed. I think it has been subject of my driver related solution in this thread.
Audio is not installed since I'm using a PCI-e card (onboard disabled).

I don't see that qpi/vtt bump thread on the OCZ forum. But I take it it's about finding the sweet spot for the qpi/vtt voltage. I have tried so on my previous two kits (broken, RMA'd) but not yet on this one. I have used 1.34v WITH problems and I believe I have tried auto as well.
I'm now testing 1066Mhz with all three modules 1.64v ram, qpi/vtt auto 7-7-7-20 88 2T. And most likely will continue testing the modules separately on the same settings.
If this is still solely or also (again) a ram problem, then it would be the 3rd faulty kit I received. I wish I had a spare kit of a different brand lying around, but I don't have that luxury.

Also I'm happy to say I'm having a good conversation with the webshop, I might return the motherboard AND the memory to have them test these specific products. And while they're on it, I'll suggest I throw in the CPU as well. To absolutely exclude IMC problems for example.
The only downside is downtime and shipping costs. And I'm not thinking about paying for research costs. So I will make a crystal clear deal with them on that. If there's anything else any of you want to share, please do.
