    BSOD sometimes page_nondefault sometimes winsys

    Hi everyone,
I have a dell vostro 1500 laptop with 3gb of ram and 320gb of hard drive. It originally came with windows xp which i updated to windows 7 ultimate oem version thru dell.

Worked great but recently I am getting BSOD every 3 to 4 days. I am just getting worried that one of these days its gonna kick the bucket and loose my recent work even thou I back regularly

My system is 3 yrs old and OS is less then a year old

I followed the instructions and zipped the folder as advised and I included the PERFMON.html in the folder

    Thanks
    Tammu

If you did an upgrade installation (in lieu of a clean install), you can expect all kinds of troubles. Here is how to do a clean install with an upgrade disk: Clean Install Windows 7

In the meantime you can try an sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt. Maybe it can fix it.

Thanks for replying so quickly, appreciate it.
Nope I did a clean install, I bought the oem version from dell, and the guy from dell insisted on doing a clean install and thats what I have done.

I will scan and post my results
    Thanks

    KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: 98b1d72f, The address that the exception occurred at
    Arg3: b8086bec, Trap Frame
    Arg4: 00000000

The dump indicates memory corruption and blames a Windows system driver which is very likely not the cause.

I suggest that you uninstall Eset NOD 32 while you are troubleshooting. Eset has been know to cause crashes on some Win 7 systems as have most third party antivirus and security programs. Use this uninstall tool: Tool. Download and instate Microsoft Security Essentials in its place. You can try Eset again once you have your system stable; but I do not recommend doing so.

I find a number of outdated device drivers loaded on your system. Out of date drivers can and do cause memory corruption and BSOD's. Update these drivers, especially those in red font.

Update these drivers from the manufactures websites. Do not use Windows Update or Device Manager to find the drivers. How to find drivers -
    - I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box below. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads
Like yourself, I upgraded from XP. I learned that most software and hardware designed for XP will not work with Win 7 unless it can be updated.

You may want to reinstall you eset with its 2010 version. Yours is February 2009. Or replace it with MSE.

This is so true, upgrades are not as good as clean installs:

    whs said:
If you did an upgrade installation (in lieu of a clean install), you can expect all kinds of troubles. Here is how to do a clean install with an upgrade disk: Clean Install Windows 7

In the meantime you can try an sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt. Maybe it can fix it.

Update drivers, and update or reinstall Eset. If you're still having crashes, keep us updated with your latest crash dumps.

Thanks guys for helping me out. You Guys are like GODS and I mean it. :)

I have removed EST NOD32 and installed Microsoft Essentials. but I cannot update the following

1)bcm4sbxp.sys Tue Nov 21 07:25:43 2006 they have the same verision I have 4.60.0 I tried to update the driver and windows said the system driver is same the update one I was trying

2)VSTAZL3.SYS Wed Oct 15 20:30:03 2008 I Couldnt find the driver on the conexant support site ( unless I missed it :) )

I ran the BSOD Dump & System File Collection app again along with PERFMON report. I am attaching them as a zip folder again.

I did notice in the PERFMON report there is one device error not sure what it is.

    Thanks once again
    Tammu
