Driver Verifier is supposed to cause BSOD's - so don't use it unless there's a problem that you're troubleshooting.

    Good luck!

    hello again.

sadly i have been getting BSOD. they did not stop. i was just hoping it would go away.

attached is a pic of the last one. verifier was not on so this is all i have.

is there something i can always keep on to log BSOD? verfier stresses the drivers so it makes the system unusable. is there anything that stays in the background that will help you guys get the information you need?

    thanks for your help.

Error code 1, APC_INDEX_MISMATCH. Usual causes: Checked build kernel error. I suspect that this can be caused by something else, as I've seen 2 of these over the past several months - and none appeared to be a checked build.

Error code 3B, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory.
    Code:

    APC_INDEX_MISMATCH (1)
This is a kernel internal error. The most common reason to see this
bugcheck is when a filesystem or a driver has a mismatched number of
calls to disable and re-enable APCs. The key data item is the
Thread->KernelApcDisable field. A negative value indicates that a driver
has disabled APC calls without re-enabling them. A positive value indicates
that the reverse is true. This check is made on exit from a system call.
    Arguments:
Arg1: 000007fefdf071fa, address of system function (system call)
    Arg2: 0000000000000000, Thread->ApcStateIndex << 8 | Previous ApcStateIndex
    Arg3: 000000000000ffff, Thread->KernelApcDisable
    Arg4: fffff88007adaca0, Previous KernelApcDisable

Unfortunately, the dumps do not point to anything specifically; they show us that memory corruption is involved. Out of date drivers can cause memory corruption and BSOD's. I find three outdated drivers loaded on your system. Two of them are way obsolete.

    adfs.SYS Thu Jun 26 16:52:37 2008 - Adobe File System Driver http://www.adobe.com

    ATK64AMD.sys Tue May 12 21:04:54 2009 - ATK Hotkey ATK0101 ACPI UTILITY DriverLenovo Support & downloads - Home page

sncduvc.SYS Mon Dec 29 04:14:26 2008 - Suyin USB 2.0 Webcam driver OEM - none at實盈股份有限公司. If you cannot find an updated driver, the webcam is obsolete. Uninstall it and reboot.
You may have to uninstall all of your Adobe software and download the latest versions to get rid of the obsolete Adobe driver.

    How to find drivers-
    - I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box above. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads
    - - To remove any left over driver remnants, especially from graphics cards, use driver sweeper Guru3D - Driver Sweeper
If you need help with the drivers, post back.

i am updating my adobe apps. hopefully it will update adfs.SYS with it.

as for the ATK64AMD.sys, as i understand this is for the ATK Hotkey ATK0101 ACPI UTILITY from asus (this is an asus g73jw laptop). the one i have is the latest one from asus .

as for the webcam, i have updated with the latest driver from asus. so cant do anything about it apart from uninstalling. should i do that?

    many thanks for the help.

You can see if ATK64AMD.sys will work. It is a Vista driver and it may be OK. You do need to uninstall the webcam; it is obsolete and not compatible with Win 7. Let me know how you do with the Adobe driver. Once you get those two 2008 drivers taken care of, you may be OK.

The dump file you uploaded is corrupt and I cannot open it.
