Oops, I didn't see Lemur's post.
LOL. Good job, Carl. You know more than me and, if we are in agreement, then I must be on the right track!
thanks, ive ran it for my os harddrive and one 1.5tb so far. going to run it for my last 1.5tb then ill upload results.
i tried reinstalling gpu drivers yesterday but ran into problems. first i downloaded "driver only" from amds site but when installing it installs catalyst. then after installing starts and catalyst gets installed installation fails. it wont installs my cards drivers now.
ive tried running drive sweeper in safe mode and still no luck. i googled and the only thing i could find was someone on amd forums who said drive sweeper can mess up the os files.
also as far as gpu temps go, the card idles around 50-55c, and after games hw monitor said like 60-79c. and the bsod's only ever happened when idle or just browsing forums.
also forgot to mention ive ran 7 passes of memtest in the past.
still running chkdsk on my last harddrive, ill post back when its done, its going to be a long time till its finished.

ok heres the info on the harddrives. im going to reformat within the hour unless you guys post back on what i can try for gpu driver error when installing.
well while formatting the computer bsod'd where i put my name and name the computer. then when computer loaded i began gathering the dump files to post here and it bsod'd again.
ive included the new info, im fixing to go update bios to latest version then reformat again incase it was a bad install?
please let me know what you think.
edit: just updated bios from 1.7 to 1.a the latest. im going to hold off on reformatting an additional time to see what you guys say first.
edit2: went to install windows updates only to bsod yet again. so i take back what i said, im going to format now.

I think you have a hardware/hardware related problem. I don't beieve it is an OS or bad install problem. Both of these latest dumps are error code 116, VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, and blame atikmdag.sys which is an outdated driver.
Update this driver. Out of date drivers can and do cause BSOD's.atikmdag.sys Fri Apr 24 06:51:57 2009 - ATI Video driver (remove the Catalyst Control Center and only install the Display Driver)Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD
Rt64win7.sys Thu Feb 26 04:04:13 2009 - Latest PCIe GBE (GigaBit Ethernet) drivers here: Realtek
Get the drivers straightened out and then, if necessary, go after the hardware.
so when i went to reformat yet again it bsod'd right after the enter cd key screen. then would load up to windows and instant bsod over ad over.
so i formated yet again, and it did same exact thing. i had a friend bring me another video card and reformated yet again... and no bsods yet. how is it possible to go from one occantional bsod to constant bsods as soon as i ran the sweeper program? i hope it was my friends gpu rather then my motherboard or something else in my computer that i just got, rather repay him for a graphics card then send out parts not knowing which was causing my bsods to rma. i think his gpu is still under warranty aswell.
If I understand correctly, you have not gotten another BSOD since you changed graphics cards? I surely hope this solves the problem. Keep us posted.
