Ok i'll check what RAM is left if it happens again, i think though i have set the graphics card to handle PS though rather then the main installed RAM or does it use both anyway?

I wasnt running anything else at the time and the file i was working was only small as i had only just started it probably under 20MB and it froze for a good 5mins and the only way to release it was to stop it via task manager.

Ok its happening quite a bit now, even when im not running PS.

the warning pops-up then the screen goes black for a few seconds then its fine, i was just browsing the internet with nothing else running.

Quote:
Possible causes: bad RAM/PSU, incorrect RAM timings/voltages, bad Graphics card, overheating
Anyway of checking these things, preferably checking out the card first as im sure thats the problem or the RAM timings/voltage?

Im wondering if it is the graphics card?
The problem you descibe (screen turning milky white) is a "busy" indication IE running out of RAM, or another higher priority app is holding it. Perfectly normal within PS and if the file size was large or the render comprehensive short.

4 gigs of ram in 64 bit with a High use app (PS) isnt unusual. I have 8 and get it occasionally.

when that happens look in tast manager to see what ram is left and which app is using what.

Can also be if the PS page file is set incorrectly (too large or small)

Ok is happening more regularly now, had just opened up PS and this message appeared.
I took a screen of task manager just in case but i think it all relates to the card, what do you think?

I installed the first one and all seemed fine for a while but i have just had the AMD driver message appear again.

The other 2 codes you supplied i dont think are for my particular problem:-
