... but that's a SPTD installer not uninstaller, right? Funny enough starting the software it says 'No SPTD driver installed'. But in the cmd/driver list it showed a STPD driver...
So should I run this SPTD installer?
Thx
Peter

Little misunderstanding, me bad. Go to FAQ at the top of the download page.

Had a look already at the FAQ pages. As said the installer doesn't detect a STPD driver on the latop and only offers 'install' or 'cancel'. But in the cmd driverquery list the system shows a STPD driver.
So should I reinstall the STPD driver or leave it as it is?
Sorry to be so annoying...
Best,
Peter

Go to sptd change .exe to .bup

You are not annoying; just trying to fix the computer and thats what we do here.

Driver Location

C-->Windows-->System 32-->drivers.

Sorry now I'm completly confused...

I downloaded SPTDinst-v174-x64.exe
I can rename the file to SPTDinst-v174-x64.bup but what's the next step?

I found the SPTD.sys in the driver folder...
Anything I can do with that file?

P

We have to get rid of sptd
We can uninstall, but seems to be a problem

The alternative is just to rename it so it is no longer used.
Just rename any SPTD's that you have.

Done
I renamed the SPTD.sys
During the restart no errors came up.
And the driverquery under cmd doesn't return a SPTD driver anymore
Let's see how it works.
Thanks for all your support once more.
Best,
Peter

Well Peter, I am glad that it looks like things may have worked out. But I hold back my smiles for a day or two until I see your smile and the all ok.

Hi Rich,

...BSOD again after a few days with no problems...

I attached the whole system check folder again.

Do you think it makes a difference if I use shut down, hybernate or stand by when I leave the laptop?

Best,

Peter

STOP 0x0000007F: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP Usual causes: Memory corruption, Hardware (memory in particular), Installing a faulty or mismatched hardware (especially memory) or a failure after installing it, 3rd party firewall, Device drivers, SCSI/network/BIOS updates needed, Improperly seated cards, Incompatible storage devices, Overclocking, Virus scanner, Backup tool, Bad motherboard, Missing Service Pack

I have helped many that have had BSOD due to Sleep etc. Since you indicate a concern that this may be a cause try, as a test not to use those functions. Then we will at least know what to concentrate on.

You may want to update these outdated drivers, also.
