BSOD on Hibernate Wake up Toshiba Laptop

    Hi

Until recently my laptop, Toshiba Sattelite Pro P200 has been hibernating fine but yesterday as I set it to hibernate and woke it it up this morning I experienced a BSOD that said 'Hardware Malfunction' then something about the vendor. It works fine if I delete the hibernate data and start a new session.

Having a look now, however, I noticed this from your perfmon report... Try to install these asap while Im looking at the .dmp files..

    Device drivers are not installed.
Cause: A driver has not been installed for this device preventing it from working properly.
Details: The device driver for PCI Memory Controller has not been installed. This device will not be available until the correct device driver is installed.
Resolution: 1. Try installing the drivers using Windows Update.
    2. Install the drivers that are on the installation media that came with the device.
    3. Check with the manufacturer for an updated driver.

Unfortunately, there were no .dmp files contained in your zip file... Navigate to c:/windows/minidump and zip up any .dmp files and attach it to your next post... You also have a LOT of out of date drivers.. Im assuming that this was an in place upgrade, and not a clean install... This is probably adding to your problems...

Thanks for your help. I'll get onto getting those drivers now. Could you advise me on how to get them? And also I can't find the .dmp files in my Documents folder or my Windows folder. Btw, It was a clean install but I haven't run windows update for approximately 2 months.

EDIT: I can't find either driver on the Toshiba driver website for my model, also when I go into the device properties and click update driver it fails instantly.

EDIT 2: I'm going to try and update the chipset driver from the toshiba page to see if that'll fix them. EDIT: No, the chipset update didn't do a thing

First, completely fill out your system specs ( click the link in my sig )... Second... run windows update now... if you navigate to c:/windows, is there a minidump folder?? If not, create one... Follow these directions to enable a small (64K) memory dump..

    1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click System.
    3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
    4. In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (64k).

Okay I've made the Minidump folder and set it to small dump(128k) (no 64k available). Windows update shows 3 optional updates and they are dl'ing now.

I still need those drivers. I uninstalled the devices in device manager, ran the chipset update and then scanned for hardware changes and they are still the same.

Also do I need to induce the BSOD again for the minidump now?

Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
    - Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
    - Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
    - Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
    - Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
    - Select "Finish" on the next page.
