new build BSOD win7 64bit, i3 540 & MSI H55M-P31
Just threw together a new machine the other day only to have it bluescreen on me the first time I left it idling overnight with sleep/hibernate disabled. I didn't have the small kernel dump enabled for the very 1st BSOD, but it happened again last night, so I've got 1 large & one small dump
Its a fresh Win7 install with all Windows updates and latest drivers from MSI's site
Hardware:
Intel i3-540
MSI H55M-P31
Coolermaster Hyper 212+ heatsink
2x1GB Samsung DDR3 1066mhz
1TB WD10EALS hard drive (known working)
Antec Basiq Power 430w Continuous PSU
More info coming later, figured this would do for now
This time around I've actually got another full set of known working components to troubleshoot this with if need be. I figured I should seek advice early on rather than muddle though most of my 30day hardware RMA period on my own :)
BIOS gives me two temperature readings, CPU at 30-31°C and the other at 27°C (PC temp? cant recall exact name)
CPU Voltage shown in bios was 1.176v/1.182v
